How to Promote Your ArtExample.com Pages

So, you've created your artist profile, submitted some lessons, and uploaded your product information. Now what?

Of course we're constantly working to promote ArtExample.com via artist groups, communities, message boards, and search engines. But, there are a few things you can do also to help increase traffic to your ArtExample.com pages

Page Titles, Keyword Selection, and Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization is an often confusing subject, but really it's simple. First, create a site structure that organizes your content in a logical way, so visitors and search engines can figure out what your site's about. And, make sure this site structure is reflected in your site's titles and url's. Art ArtExample.com, we've already taken care of this for you.

But, without proper use  of keywords in your titles and descriptions, visitors won't be able to find your site.

So, whenever you upload a lesson or product, think about the words you use in your title, overview, and full description. Think about what words people would likely use to search for information like this (from search engines like google.com, or from our own search page). Then, incorporate these words throughout your titles and descriptions.

For instance, while a title like 'Summer Mountain Meadow in Frasier' may sound nice, something like 'How to mix vibrant greens for painting grasses, trees, and other landscape elements' is probably more useful. This title contains words that artists may search for if they want to mix better green colors for their landscape paintings, and it is descriptive enough that they'll know whether this page fits what they're looking for or not.

Of course, with so many pages on the internet there's no guarantee that you'll get a flood of search engine traffic, but appropriate keyword use in titles and content will always help.

Linking To Your Pages

Now that you've created optimized titles for your pages, adding more links from your other websites and blogs is a great way to direct more visitors to your ArtExample.com pages. And these other links also help your ArtExample.com pages to be found by search engines like Google.com

Next to every page on our site, in the right-hand sidebar column, is a button titled 'Link To This Page'. If you visit one of your lesson or product pages, or your artist profile, and then click on the 'Link to This Page' button, you can get all the information you need to create a link to your ArtExample.com pages from your other websites, blogs, and email newsletters.
