You'll see a list of categories on this page. Click on the category that best fits your lesson, then click on the 'create lesson in this category' link. If there's not a category that fits what you need, click on the most closely related category and then click on the 'Create New Subcategory' link to create a new subcategory under that category. For instance, if you want to create a category for scratchboard art, you would select the 'Techniques by Media' category, and then create a new subcategory named 'Scratchboard'. If you're not sure what category to use, please take a few minutes to browse around the site to learn how the content is organized. If you still need help figuring out where to put your content, contact support@artexample.com and we'll help find or create an appropriate category Step 2: Enter your lesson title and overview Your lesson title should be brief and descriptive, and include relevant keywords that artists might search for to find a lesson on this topic. Choosing the right words for your title will help to ensure that artists can find your lessons easily through our search interface, and from external search engines. Your lesson overview should be a brief introduction to your lesson. This will be displayed along with your title on our various category pages, search results, etc. - this overview should also contain appropriate keywords, and don't forget to make it interesting so that visitors will want to click on it to read your full lesson Product or Workshop: This feature is available to premium members only. After you've created your product pages, you can select a product or workshop from the 'Product / Workshop Id' dropdown list. The selected product or workshop will be promoted on this lesson page, in the footer and sidebar sections Step 3: Enter your lesson content This is where you put the full lesson content. Using our html editor interface, you can insert formatted text, links, images, and videos. The best lessons use a combination of all of these elements. If you need help using the html editor, visit the editor help page for an overview of the toolbar buttons. If you cannot see the html editor buttons, your browser may not be compatible, or you may have javascript disabled. Our site uses the FCKeditor html editor, which is compatible with the most widely used web browsers. Step 4: Save, Preview, and Publish your lesson When you're done entering content, select one of the options from the 'Save This Lesson' section at the bottom of the page, and click the submit button. You can save the lesson as a draft if you're not quite finished, or save and preview to see how your lesson will look. Once you're ready to post the lesson on the live website, select 'publish lesson'. Lessons that have been saved in draft mode will only be visible to you, from your account page. Lessons that have been published will be visible to all site visitors. If you select 'Save and Preview', but don't select 'publish this lesson' after previewing, your lesson will automatically be saved as a draft.
